  27. [ Scene shows one starship firing a salvo of photon torpedoes and phasers at
  28.   another. Cut to bridge of Enterprise-D. ]

  30. Worf....:  Shields down to 41%!  Forward shields gone!

  32. ONLY ONE WILL SURVIVE THIS DEADLY GAME...

  34. Scotty..:  Sair, my poor wee bairns canna' take it no more!

  40. LaForge.:  COOLANT LEAK!!  COOLANT LEAK!!  I'm evacuating...

  44. Spock...:  Shields down to 40%

  46. [ Scene shows another Galaxy Class Starship taking a few hits. Scene changes
  47.   to show Riker and then Wesley dead! A massive (no, not that big - even 
  48.   bigger!) "Star Trek:The Star Trek Parody" logo "beams in" on the screen in
  49.   the usual Star Trek manner. ]

  67. This weeks episode:  "What If...The Orignal Enterprise Crew Battled The Next
  68.                      Generation Crew?"

  72. The setting:  Both crews are in equally matched Galaxy-Class Starships. For 
  73.               easy ship/crew identification, the original crew are in ship 
  74.               "A", and TNG crew in ship "D". This is just a war-game 
  75.               simulation, of course, similar to "The Kobiyashi Maru" 
  76.               scenario.

  80. Worf...: Sir, ship coming in our sector at warp speed.
  81.  
  82. Picard.: Who is it?
  83.  
  84. Worf...: It's the "A".
  85.  
  86. Picard.: Red alert - shields up - arm phasers and photon torpedoes. [ He gets
  87.          out a pad and starts scribbling on it for some obscure reason. ] Go
  88.          to 141, 76, 5 mark 4.
  89.  
  90. [ Meanwhile, back on "A"... ]
  91.  
  92. Spock..: Captain, sensors detect "D" ahead of us...she's trying to outflank 
  93.          us.
  94.  
  95. Kirk...: We'll see about that - red alert - battle stations! Sulu, head for 
  96.          that ship - warp speed. Chekov, arm all phasers and photon 
  97.          torpedoes.
  98.  
  99. [ Moments later... ]
  100.  
  101. Kirk...: There she is...Chekov, lock phasers and photon torpedos on that 
  102.          ship.
  103.  
  104. Chekov.: Veapons locked, sir.
  105.  
  106. Kirk...: Fire!
  107.  
  108. [ A salvo of phaser fire and photon torpedoes streak [oo-er!] out towards "D"
  109.   .....they hit! ]
  110.  
  111. Worf...: They hit us! Shields down to 73%.
  112.  
  113. Picard.: [ More frantic scribbling ] Firing sequence...delta.
  114.  
  115. Worf...: *At last, a chance to die with honour!*
  116.  
  117. [ Worf lets loose a salvo of photon torpedoes and phaser blast. The phasers 
  118.   hit "A", as well as one torpedo. ]
  119.  
  120. Spock..: Shields down to 85%.....
  121.  
  122. Scotty.: [ Over comm ] Sair, my poor wee bairns canna' take it no more! The 
  123.          energizers' bypassed like a christmas tree!
  124.  
  125. Kirk...: Hang in there Scotty - use auxilary power if necessary. Chekov, 
  126.          FIRE!
  127.  
  128. [ Another salvo of phasers and photon torpedoes head out towards "D". They 
  129.   all hit! {You can see I am biased towards "A", but after seeing Picard's 
  130.   naff battle against the Klingons in "Yesterday's Enterprise", I don't think
  131.   much of his battle techniques.} Both ships pass each other, and start 
  132.   turning for round 2. ]
  133.  
  134. Worf...: Shields down to 41%! Forward shields gone!
  135.  
  136. Picard.: [ Even more frantic scribbling - why did he do all that in 
  137.          "Yesterday's Enterprise" anyway? ] Go to 142, 76, 3 mark 4. Standby 
  138.          with the "Picard Maneuver"...
  139.  
  140. [ Both ships have now sucessfully turned and are heading for each other. ]
  141.  
  142. Kirk...: FIRE! FIRE! FIRE!
  143.  
  144. [ 2 photon torpedoes hit "D"'s port warp pylon, and the phaser fire shears it
  145.   right off. There is a mighty explosion, and the "D" shakes badly. Smoke 
  146.   pours onto the bridge and a fire starts. Troi is killed by an over-head 
  147.   beam falling onto her. ]
  148.  
  149. Worf...: We've lost port warp nacelle!! Phaser power at 30%
  150.  
  151. LaForge: [ Over comm ] Bridge, engineering here. We can't hold... COOLANT 
  152.          LEAK!! COOLANT LEAK!! I'm evacuating...estimate 2 minutes till core
  153.          shutdown...attempting manual override...
  154.  
  155. Picard.: [ Even more frantic scribbling - you know, I bet he was writing his
  156.          memoirs at the time. ] Have we got enough power for the "Picard 
  157.          Maneuver"?
  158.  
  159. LaForge: No way, sir.
  160.  
  161. Picard.: Damm. Firing sequence sierra.
  162.  
  163. [ Photon torpedoes and phasers head off for "A". The torpedoes hit, but the 
  164.   phasers are ineffective. Reports flood in from various decks about damage 
  165.   and small fires. ]
  166.  
  167. Spock..: Shields at 55%
  168.  
  169. Kirk...: Fire! Fire!
  170.  
  171. [ A multiple phaser and photon torpedo battery hits "D" on the saucer 
  172.   section. In "D", the fire on the bridge grows... Picard turns to see a very
  173.   large piece of shrapnel stuck in Wesley's neck, cutting through his jugular
  174.   vein { Hurray! } ]
  175.  
  176. Picard.: *Well, at least some good has come of this.....*
  177.  
  178. Worf...: Shields are gone! Photon torpedoes are inoperative! Minimal phaser 
  179.          power.
  180.  
  181. Picard.: All power to forward phaser banks. [ Scribbles again on the pad - 
  182.          perhaps he was writing his will? ] Firing sequence..... let's see 
  183.          now.....we've had sierra, delta....firing sequence omega.
  184.  
  185. [ A sequence of phaser shots hit "A". ]
  186.  
  187. Spock..: Shields down to 40%
  188.  
  189. Kirk...: Chekov, aim for the middle of the saucer section and fire!
  190.  
  191. [ Moments later, a multiple phaser and photon torpedo battery head out for 
  192.   "D"..... ]
  193.  
  194. LaForge: Manual override didn't work! Core shutdown in 15 seconds!
  195.  
  196. Picard.: Broadcast on all frequencies.....We surrender.....
  197.  
  198. Riker..: No! Negative. Nah. Definately not. No way....
  199.  
  200. [ Another explosion throws Riker onto the floor. He is dead. ]

  202. Worf...: Too late, they fired! *At last I will die in ba.....

  204. KABOOM!

  238.           ship. Beaming is useless. Resistance is futile!
